Reading:

Your child has been allocated a digital reading log on google classroom. He/she will get the opportunity to change their reading book on a daily basis. Please listen to your child read as often as possible and record any comments in the reading record as the children will be rewarded with 5 dojos each time they have read 5 times. Then they will get a prize every time they have read 10 times. We really encourage reading at home for 10 minutes daily.

Homework:

Homework is set every half term in the form of a ‘Homework Bingo’ grid tailored to the needs of children in Lower Key Stage Two. This will also be set through google classroom, you can upload photos and videos of the homework your child is completing. Please complete as many of the challenges during term time and ensure you return your book so we can share your hard work with the class and award lots of Dojo points.

PE:

Kenya Class has a P.E day once a week, the day is Wednesday. Children need to arrive at school in their P.E. kit on this day. They will need to wear a full tracksuit in-case of cold weather. They can wear their shorts and t-shirt underneath. Earrings should be removed before arriving at school or alternatively your child can remove them before the lesson. Please ensure that all clothing is clearly named to ensure they are not lost.

Snack:

Your child will need a healthy snack to have during break time; any pots must have names on if you wish them to be kept.
