Extra Curriculum

High Five Netball Club (Years 4-6)

Netball Club will be starting again for Years 4, 5 and 6. They will be learning new netball skills and building on the ones they already have. They will be participating in fun, netball related games, with the hope of having friendly match opportunities.
It will also be on a first come, first served basis, starting on Friday 12th January until Friday 23rd March, which is 10 weeks, at a cost of £2.00 per week = £20.00. The club will run from 3:30-4:30pm.


Dance Club (Years 4-6)

Dance Club will continue to run on a Thursday from 3:30 – 4:45pm, in Kenya Class.
The club is open to both girls and boys in Years 4, 5 and 6. In this club your child will learn some exciting new dance moves and dance routines, which we later hope to perform to an audience!
The cost will be £1 per session and it will run for 10 weeks from 11th January until 22nd March.
Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Craft Club (Years 1-6)

Craft Club will begin again on Thursday 18th January and will run every Thursday lunchtime from
12.30 – 1.00pm in Belgium Class.
The cost will be £2.00 per session and it will run for 10 weeks until Thursday 29th March.
Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Year 2 Football Training Club

Ardley Hill Football Club will be commencing training for all Year 2 pupils (boys and girls) on Monday evenings from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.  The cost will be £2.00 per session.

Ardley Hill Choir (Years 3-6)

We are delighted to be able to tell you that I am offering a new extra-curricular group – ‘Ardley Hill Choir’. This will begin on Tuesday 26th September and will run every Tuesday lunchtime from 12.15 –12.45pm in Brazil Class.
The cost will be £1.00 per session and it will run for 10 weeks until Tuesday 5th December.

Hotshots Basketball

This club is held each Wednesday from 8:00-8:45am. There is a cost for this activity.  Please contact the Academy Office for more information.

Minecraft Club – Years 3-6

We are pleased to be able to offer a new and very exciting Minecraft after school club running from 3:30-4:30pm every Thursday from 26th April to 24th May.

The club costs £3.99 per child per session and is paid for half termly in advance.  All club places are reserved and paid for online. Just go to website

Martial Arts Club

This club takes place every Friday from 3.30 – 4.30pm for Years 3-6 all year (excluding 8th December, our Festive Fayre). The cost will be £3.00 per session.  This club is run by Mrs Clinton*.

* Mrs Clinton is a fully qualified martial arts expert and has plenty of experience in this field.

Swimming Club

Ardley Sharks Swim School will commence from Monday 5th September 2016. Lessons will be starting from the normal time of 3.45pm and 4.15pm plus Saturday mornings from 8.30am.

All current pupils will be guaranteed a place for the new term. There will be some changes but we hope to keep these to a minimum and ensure that they are positive ones. The aim is to have smaller groups with more assistance in the water and a local point of contact on site at all times.

The swim school will be run in accordance with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA Learn to Swim Pathway).

Inspiring Music

Inspiring Music is the Music Service of Central Bedfordshire, offering tuition and music making opportunities in schools and in the community.

Inspiring Music’s vision is to help people at all stages of life to participate in and enjoy music, supporting individuals in reaching their full potential in developing musical skills.

Violin lessons are offered every Tuesday lunch time.
